456!?

I am utterly shocked.

I received the cd with my most recent MRI/MRA films on it for the doctor who requested it prior to a sympathetic nerve (assuming) injection. I was interested in seeing it, more for the purposes of ensuring it was actually the correct item I had requested (as I had previous issues with other requests from other locations before). When I opened the cd to ensure it was only the MRI/MRA of my hip from Jan ‘09 (I told them the DR didn’t request anything else, so not to put anything else on it…easier on them that way) and had to wait…as things uploaded…

456 pictures worth from ONE MRI/MRA!!!

Now, I’ve had this done a couple times before at a different location, but I am 100% certain that there was NEVER that many pictures taken…and I have proof (as in other CD’s of the testing, which had been previously sent to other OS’).

That is why I was in shock…456 pictures of my right hip, and some to boot of my left hip as well for comparison purposes apparently.

I know they took plenty, including ones while I lifted my leg and tried to make my hip “snap and pop” as I lowered it from a raised position back down to flat. First time anyone ever tried that, a moving MRI, and so I know there was plenty taken…which I also know from the amount of time I was in there and all that I did, and the pain the ensued afterwards.

But, despite all that, I STILL was in shock at the number of pictures that are on this disc! And, I am SO very thankful to everyone for trying to desperately to help me with this and other “novel” forms of testing that had never been thought of or tried before.

Last night, I danced. Out in the home gym, with the equipment around the perimeter and the open middle space available for movement, I cranked up the tunes and allowed my body to flow to the rhythm…while keeping an eye on my alignment and posture in the wall mirrors. What an amazing feeling…what an amazing view! To see my body…to see MY body…moving in a graceful, balanced, fluid form of function was just absolutely AMAZING! I thought for a brief moment that if I could only share with all of you where things are at, you would be AMAZED equally as well. But, as for my somewhat shy self and fear of cameras, that one is better left alone…! lol

While I don’t promote smoking, one can only think back to that certain commercial saying of:

“You’ve come a long way, BABY!”

  1. Isn’t that just incredible! I know I was shocked when I got my CT Scan cd with 317 images on it…immediately thinking of all that radiation! Very cool to look at!

Very glad to hear things are going well. I cant remember the number of pictures I had on my MRA/MRI CD but it was a ton. I tried to save on my laptop but it was read only.

I wish I would have saved them. Interesting to look at. Thanks for the updates it helps stay positive.

    Take care,
